Now, Epic Games, earlier today confirmed that they will be offering the GTA V for free until May 21 via Epic Games Store on PC and Mac. Price per performane is not worth it for a mac. You could have built a gaming pc with an high end monitor for the price you paied for a crappy mac xP.
As a drone pilot, it can be a little tough to practice our flying when we can’t leave the house to fly. Flight simulators have become increasingly popular, but what is the best, most realistic one?
After playing Drone Racing League (DRL Sim) for the past year and a half, I fell in love with flying, racing, and just practicing in general. With over 170 hours logged on the sticks, I found myself looking for a new fix. With other options for simulators like the Drone Championship League, Liftoff, Velocidrone, and even the DJI Flight Simulator, how do you know which to choose?!
We looked for something where there were things taking place, cars driving, people walking, and all that. If only the sim could be more like a video game!
So a few minutes in, we find that Grand Theft Auto V has an FPV flight simulator if you just make a few modifications and set up the controller. When I started watching a few videos on how realistic it was and how big the maps were, I knew I could get stuck on my computer for days practicing my flying.
After watching the video above and getting really excited, I realized that this game is only downloadable on PC. I spent a few more hours thinking about how I could turn this FPV flight simulator from a dream to reality and found the answer. I would run Windows on my Mac. After some help from 9to5Mac, I was partitioning my drive and downloading Windows 10.
A few hours later, I booted back up to download Steam and GTA V. I downloaded the mods I needed and installed those into the game files. I then launched the game, completed the prologue, and jumped into the FPV flight simulator to give it a try!
Check out the video below if you are using Mac but want to run Windows as well. This is a fairly easy process, but be sure to give yourself around 150GB to the Windows drive so you have room to download the game (which is 92GB or so). All in all, this should take 2-5 hours and actually works surprisingly well.
For freestyle, this may be the best-case scenario for an FPV pilot. However, for racing, this isn’t the best option, although I see it happening down the road. For a simulator that is more like DJI, you can check out the DJI flight simulator that looks very similar to GTA V — minus the violence and gaming aspect.
Simulators are an amazing way for any pilot to practice their flying whenever they need it because all you need is a computer and controller. If you are looking to get immersed in something new, I would definitely recommend giving this a try!

Today we are excited to announce that another game is available. We are talking about the famous action-adventure video game, Grand Theft Auto V for macOS. It is a game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. Now you can play it on all the MacBooks and iMacs. The single-player story focuses on three criminals try to commit heists while being under pressure from a government agency.
The story of Grand Theft Auto V starts with a failed bank robbery in North Yankton during the prologue. After this, the story jumps nine years later in San Andreas. All three main characters have their own goals. Is the fate and a some bad decisions that cause their paths to intertwine. They must fight off the attentions of rival gang factions and also deal with a government power struggle. It is between the Federal Investigation Bureau and the International Affairs Agency. They work as a team to pull off a string of audacious heists that might secure their freedom.
First character you control in Grand Theft Auto V for macOS is Franklin Clinton. He is an African-American former street hustler, now repo man for a local car dealer. Franklin wants to earn more money but has no experience when it comes to committing crimes. At some point, you can also take control of Franklin’s dog, Chops. Next character is Michael De Santa, a former professional criminal struggling with the midlife crisis. He came to Los Santos to leave his past, but soon it starts catching up on him. The last one is a psychopath, named Trevor Philips. He is living in a caravan out in rural Sandy Shores. Having mentally issues and prone to crisis of rage, Trevor wants to build a drugs and guns empire out in the sticks. But the return of an old friend changes everything.

During the story you can switch between characters by selecting them from the Character Wheel. Each character has specific abilities which can be triggered to help out in diverse situations. For example, Franklin is able to slow down time when he is driving to perform tight maneuvers. Michael can create a similar time effect in combat to line up easier headshots. And Trevor state of invulnerable rage helps him to increase the power of his attacks.
In Grand Theft Auto V, the prime missions are marked on the map with the character’s initials. Although many of the missions are specific for one character, there are situations when two or all three come together. This requires you to switch between them at some points and use their particular skills.
